AMA | Rochester Collegiate Relations is the only WNY professional marketing association that provides a full day Conference and Career Fair for WNY Colleges and Universities students enrolled in Business Programs. The Conference provides a venue for business professionals and students to discuss area opportunities. This year’s Conference received funding from Niagara University – College of Business Administration, Rochester Institute of Technology – Saunders College of Business, Rochester Institute of Technology – School of Communication, SUNY Brockport School of Business & Management, St John Fisher College – School of Business, and Genesee Community College – Business & Commerce. Twenty-five students are selected from each of the funding Colleges and University to attend Conference. The Conference is solely funded by sponsorships and in kind support. Charles Schwab & Company – Rochester Office provided the cash awards for the Student Marketing Campaign Competition.
This is the Fifth Annual Collegiate Conference February 23, 2018 at Brook Lea Country Club. The morning session: Greg Cunneyworth RIT Graduate co-founded Makeway LLC will discuss “Start a business on a Shoe String Budget” and Leire Bascaran – Helen & Gertrude Head of Client Services will discuss “Finding Your Sweet Spot”. Charles Schwab & Company Rochester Office the sponsor for the Student Marketing Campaign Competition: How would your team organize a brand and education campaign for the National Brand Manager to increase Millennials awareness of Charles Schwab & Company financial investment products and services? A team of three from each funding colleges was selected to compete. Cash awards will be announced by Philip Hofmeister Buffalo /Rochester /Syracuse Branch Manager. Morgan van der Horst will provide a brief overview of her summer assignment sponsored by the 2017 Conference and Merlin Digital Printing Solutions. The afternoon session: Career Fair with participating WNY companies providing interview opportunities for internships and employment. Experienced Career/Resume Advisors from WNY companies provide one on one feedback. Each of the funding colleges’ with have a recruitment representative to discuss their business undergraduate / graduate programs.
First year students from Genesee Community College Business Programs will be attending the conference that are considering transferring to a four year business programs and experience the conference venue.
