2012 Collegiate Excellence Award
By Russ McDonald, Vice President Collegiate Relations
AMA | Rochester’s support and involvement with universities and colleges has grown considerably in Rochester over the past several years and is expanding to the Buffalo area. One our affiliated Collegiate Chapters’ Marketing Club was honored with a Collegiate Chapter Excellence Award (CCEA) at the annual AMA | Rochester “Marketer of the Year” May 2012 event.
The CCEA submissions were evaluated for demonstrated excellence in their chapter’s leadership, membership, programs, professional development, community service, and involvement with the American Marketing Association (AMA) at both the National level and the Rochester level.
The winning chapter of the CCEA is awarded a $1,000 for future Collegiate Chapter development.
As Chair of the judging committee I select marketing professionals to judge the submissions. This year’s judges were:
- Barbara Cote’, Creative Director at Sigma Marketing Group
- Emerson Fullwood, former Executive Chief of Staff and Marketing Officer at Xerox
- Marjorie Stell, Director Strategy and Planning OCMO Consumer Marketing at Kodak
