I was first introduced to the American Marketing Association (AMA) as I made a transition from a Process Improvement and Product Development career to one in Marketing Research. At the time the AMA had partnered with the University of Georgia and others to develop a self-study program in marketing research (Principles of Marketing Research). This is what the AMA does best. It collaborates with other professional organizations to expand the skill set of marketing professionals helping advance their careers and making the right connections.
